Our library was officially opened in June 2011 - it is named after past student and well-known Australian author Boori 'Monty' Prior.
Boori has numerous books to his credit, in 2012 he received a Literary Award
from the Prime Minister for his book “Shake a Leg” and in 2013 he was named the inaugural Australian Children's Laureate, a position he shared with Alison Lester.
During July 2011, Boori was our 'writer in residence'. Boori worked with all children from Prep to Year 7 which resulted in some excellent writing from all children.
Students are encouraged to visit and use the resources of the library before school and during lunchtime - did you know that you can access our school library catalogue online?

It is important that good borrowing habits are developed by the students and parents can encourage this by ensuring that books are returned on time. As well, parents can help foster enjoyment and love of reading by showing that they too use books both for entertainment as well as for information.
